Reaches New Heights
Established in 2015, Christina Firth made the decision to establish her own firm after exiting a large private equity company based in Atlanta and founded Athena Capital Funding.
Ms. Firth decided to build a company based not only on her commercial real estate experience and private equity experience, but also by intertwining that vast knowledge with a desire to create a company that was not only strategic in its in consulting for investments, but thoughtful to giving back to the community.
Ms. Firth has a plethora of knowledge in mergers and acquisition, asset management, and senior and mezzanine lending for commercial real estate and the business acumen to navigate through the daily challenges and strategic planning necessary for growth. In addition, Ms. Firth has expanded her knowledge to include contracting with federal agencies, including the Department of Defense.
Active in her local community through competitive sports and volunteer work, Ms. Firth endeavors to create an infrastructure for an affiliated not-for-profit entity that will give back to the community through donations of time and capital. Ms. Firth is a member of the American Association of University Women, promoting women of all ages to embrace STEM and STEAM. Ms. Firth is a member of the National Contract Management Association, promoting contracting work with the Department of Defense and other federal agencies, particularly small business.
Currently, Ms. Firth is working on her doctorate in business and finance. Her dissertation focus is small business success strategies to win and sustain defense contracts with the Department of Defense.
Ms. Firth volunteers her time as a Court Appointed Juvenile Advocate, helping mentor children, young adults, and their families and guide them through the system.
